Nil Taspinar is a project manager and computer specialist with skills ranging from schedule development services to database management. Her experience extends to non-profit institutions, public utilities as well as private enterprise. She has had great success helping clients to maximize project success through detailed planning and scheduling that leads to work-through improvements in productivity and cost reductions. Client Services Ms. Taspinar serves MacDonald-Bedford’s clients as its Senior Scheduler and Microsoft Project Trainer. For Macdonald-Bedford, she is responsible for overseeing its scheduling efforts and in-house training for scheduling software applications. Ms. Taspinar has designed and managed database systems from customization to analysis and output as well as developed databases specifically for contracts, inventory, human resources, materials management and purchasing. She has worked with a variety of clients including the Oakland International Airport Expansion Program, East Bay Municipal Utility District, Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Inc., AirTouch Communications, Applied Process Cooling Corporation, Embarcadero Systems Corporation, WebTV/Microsoft Corporation and Chronicle Books, to name a few. As a trainer, she has provided corporations with user training on MSProject in the biotech, broadcasting, computer, construction, environmental, non-profit, public works, publishing telecommunications and transportation industries. In addition to MSProject, she has facilitated staff training in PC and Mac applications and desktop solutions at all levels. In related work, Ms. Taspinar was instrumental in developing a public awareness campaign design for a United Nations/World Bank-administered multi-national environmental management project for the Black Sea in Istanbul, Turkey. She also managed the publication of a bibliographic text to launch a book series on behalf of UN Publications. Nil Taspinar is known for her commitment to client satisfaction, gracious temperament, high productivity and integrity. She is especially adept at working closely with clients in order to deconstruct the scope of work, identifying the implied as well as specified tasks and activities, the critical path and principle milestones. A graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz, Ms. Taspinar earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies/Earth Sciences. She is a member of the Silicon Valley chapter of the Project Management Institute and the Microsoft Project User’s Group.
